Kobra paper shredders are protected by a limited warranty for the original purchaser only. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions.
Warranty Coverage
This warranty covers:
- Manufacturing defects: Issues with materials and workmanship that affect normal operation
- Cutting blade defects: Problems with blade construction or workmanship that impact shredding performance
- Repair labor: Professional service and labor costs for covered warranty repairs
Warranty Periods
Standard Models (Level 1-5 Shredders)
- General warranty: 1 year from date of purchase
- Cutting blades: 5 years from date of purchase
- Labor coverage: 1 year from date of purchase
High Security Models (Level 6 Shredders)
- General warranty: 90 days from date of purchase
- Cutting blades: 1 year from date of purchase
- Labor coverage: 90 days from date of purchase
What Voids the Warranty
This warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Accident or misuse: Damage from improper handling or use beyond normal operation
- Neglect: Lack of proper maintenance, including insufficient lubrication
- External factors: Vandalism, acts of nature, or power supply issues
- Unauthorized service: Repairs performed by non-authorized service providers
- Normal wear: Expected wear and tear from regular use
How to Get Warranty Service
If your Kobra shredder develops a covered defect during the warranty period:
- Contact your Kobra shredder representative
- Provide proof of purchase and describe the issue in detail
- Follow the representative's instructions for inspection or return
- We will repair or replace your shredder with an equivalent product at no charge if the warranty applies
